Financial advice typically focuses on a specific need, for example, choosing the right pension, investment or insurance product. It’s often transactional, helping you make an informed decision about one particular area of your finances.
Financial planning goes much further. It looks at your whole financial life: your goals, priorities, assets, liabilities, family circumstances and long-term aspirations. Our expertise helps you visualise key life decisions, truly bringing your finances to life. Rather than recommending products in isolation, financial planning builds a joined-up strategy designed to help you achieve the life you want, both now and in the future.
At Just Financial Planning, we blend both. We provide clear, independent financial advice where you need it, but always within the context of a personalised, long-term financial plan, giving you clarity, confidence and direction, not just products.
A question we’ve been getting more recently, which we find quite flattering. We’ve invested large amounts of time into projects, technologies and processes that have made us great savings in both time and money, for the same results we were getting before. As a result of these improvements, we have shared some of these cost savings with our clients by offering competitive charges that we would have struggled to offer previously. It’s something we’re really proud of, and we’re always looking for ways to improve our service further.
You can use any of our contact details to reach the team. Our Client Services Team is the first point of contact. They are very experienced and can often answer your question there and then. If not, they will direct you to your adviser.
All of our clients also have access to our online client portal. You can login and send a secure message directly via the portal, and we can respond on there too.
We appreciate that everyone’s advice needs are different, and in some cases, you might not need to engage with our services on an ongoing basis. We do offer ‘transactional’ services, though in most cases our ongoing services are better value for money in terms of your long-term financial situation.
For most of our clients, investments are fully regulated and covered by the FSCS (Financial Services Compensation Scheme). This protects your money if a financial firm fails, though it does not cover standard market movements—meaning your investment values will still rise and fall over time, in-line with your agreed risk profile. In a small number of cases, clients may choose high-risk tax planning products (like VCTs or EISs) that do not carry the same protections. If this applies to you, we will make sure you fully understand the risks and agree to them before any investment.
Yes! While most of our clients’ investments are aimed simply at maximizing their risk-adjusted returns, we offer a wide range of options to account for specific preferences. We are happy to tailor your portfolio to suit geographical, sector-specific, or ethical requirements.
